Making Sugar Scrub Cubes

I keep a jar of these near my kitchen sink, laundry sink, and next to my bath tub.....
These are Delightful and Easy to make.   My hands are often covered in paint and these Little Sugar Cubes are wonderful for washing all that paint off and leave my hands soft.   Scented with Essential oils make them smell great too.  I love that they are portioned out into the perfect size.
I will be making these with a group of 4-H kids tomorrow - I hope they enjoy this project.
Ingredients and How To:
  • 1/4 cup Coconut oil
  • 1 cup of White Sugar
  • 1/2 cup of unscented soap- I used a melt n pour Goat Milk Soap
  • Mixing bowl & spoon
  • 30 drops of essential oil- I used Eucalyptus, Spearmint, and Lavender
  • Ice cube tray or other mold- I used a cute little flower mold.
  • Mix the oil and shredded soap together in a microwave safe bowl .Microwave on high for 10 second intervals stirring in between each. Continue until the soap is melted into the oil. Add in the essential oils and stir. Quickly move mixture to a mold.  Place in the Freezer for 30 minutes or until they  firm up.  Pop the Sugar Scrub Cubes out of the molds and Store them in a covered container.
